Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Night Series Issues Math Fact Challenge To
Local Students.
The future of automobile racing is with the youth of today.
Williams Grove Speedway management is presenting a program to the
students of Monroe and South Mountain elementary schools.
This exciting series, named Math Fact Challenge, combines mathematics and
racing.
The students at each school will complete 10 minutes of
online math a night to complete one lap.
Students up to second grade use
www.coolmath.com for their challenge. Students
in grades three through fifth will work with
www.firstinmath.com.
After the students complete ten laps they will receive a
$10 Williams Grove Speedway gift certificate for use on two Saturday Night
Series dates. The main night will
be June 6th for the School’s Out special.
Families that cannot make the night can use their certificate on July 18th
for the popular Kids Night. Children 12 and under are free at Williams Grove
allowing parents to use the certificates for adult admission of just two
dollars.
South Mountain Elementary recently completed their
challenge with 45 students taking part. As part of their May Fair, Saturday
Night Series 358 Late Model driver Daulton Bigler attended the festivities to
hand out certificates to the students.
Monroe Elementary began their challenge in April with 410
Sprint Car driver Nicole Bower meeting with the students.
Monroe is completing their Math Fact Challenge.
On May 15th Super Sportsman driver Steve Wilbur will present
the students with their certificates.
Williams Grove Speedway continues their support of bringing
young families to racing through the Saturday Night Series.
Each week adult admission remains at the affordable price of six dollars
with children 12 and under free.
Last week, on opening night, a large crowd was on hand, the majority consisting
of families.
This Saturday the Saturday Night Series presents the Blazer’s Body Shop Super Sportsman, Credit Connection 358 Late Models and Aquafun Pools Street Stocks. Scott Geesey (Super Sportsman), Wes Alleman (358 Late Models) and Jeff Haag (Street Stocks) will try to repeat their opening night victories. Racing action begins at 7 PM.
