Williams Grove Speedway Presents School’s Out Special Saturday Night
Mechanicsburg, PA
June 3, 2015
The month of June means students across the Susquehanna
Valley will be putting aside the pencils and commencing with summer recess.
To begin the summer of fun, this Saturday Williams Grove Speedway
presents the first School’s Out Special as part of the Saturday Night Series.
The School’s Out program began as a math challenge to the
students of South Mountain and Monroe elementary schools.
Students that successfully completed the program will attend the
evening’s events.
Beginning at 5 PM, gates will open to all spectators.
The first 400 children to arrive at the infield tent will each receive a
fun bag that contains activity packs, goodies, and coupons for free items to
enjoy throughout the summer.
Wendy's, ABC West Bowling, Red Crown Bowling Center, The Pride of the
Susquehanna, Wildwood Park, Alwine Nature Center, and Buffalo Wild Wings are
some of the local businesses that contributed to the fun bag.
There will be race cars on display in the infield giving
youngsters a close look at the racing equipment.
Drivers will be present to sign autographs.
Included in the
entertainment will be face painting, piñatas, and relay races in the infield,
along with an inflatable obstacle course. Buffalo Wild Wings will be on hand and
will have a spinning wheel to give out prizes. The Buffalo Wild Wing Mascot will
also be present.
Williams Grove
Speedway will donate their half of the evening’s 50/50 money to the PTOs of
Monroe and South Mountain elementary schools.
The young fans will watch racing action featuring the
Blazer’s Body Shop Super Sportsman, Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Models
and Aquafun Pools Street Stocks.
Last week Scott Dellinger won his first 2015 Blazer’s Body Shop Super Sportsman
main event. Gene Knaub returned to
the Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Model victory lane for the second
straight week. In the Aquafun Pools
Street Stocks Jeff Haag captured his third victory of the year.
