Street Stock Twin 15-Lap Features Highlight Saturday Williams Grove Speedway Show

Mechanicsburg, PA., June 9, 2015

Williams Grove Speedway’s Saturday Night Series returns to action this weekend.  Highlighting the evening’s racing will be two 15-lap features for the popular Aquafun Pools Street Stocks. Joining the Street Stocks will be the Blazer Body Shop Super Sportsman and Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Models.

Jeff Haag from Auburn is dominating Street Stock action.  Haag’s Camaro won four of the first five events.  The other driver to visit victory lane was Greg Diehl.  Last Saturday Haag defeated the 26-car field.  Dustin Hollinger, Steven Dove, Doug Hoffman, and Craig Morgan completed the top five.  Greg Diehl won the Artwerks Hard Charger award.

Chad Criswell won last week’s Super Sportsman main event.  It was the Martinsburg, West Virginia driver’s first Saturday Night Series victory and his second Sportsman Tour win of the year.  Scott Geesey, Chad Trout, Steve Fannasy, and Scott Dellinger trailed the winner.  Davey Walsh was awarded the Sprint Aces Hard Charger money.  Twenty-six Super Sportsman entered the show.

In 358 Late Model action Billy Wampler made his first visit to victory lane.  Wampler, from York Haven, defeated Ron Kline, Dave Latsha, Travis Mease, and Alan Sagi. Dan Zechman received the Artwerks Hard Charger award.  Fifteen 358 Late Models took part in the racing.

This week Williams Grove Speedway will donate the speedway’s half of the 50/50 money to Speranza Animal Rescue in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Last week’s School’s Out promotion was a big hit with the children.  The new promotion, honoring the math challenge students from the elementary schools of Monroe and South Mountain, brought many families to the speedway.  A thank you goes out to all drivers that brought their cars to the infield for the festivities.

Race qualifying begins at 7 PM.  Adults will watch four features for the low admission price of six dollars with children 12 and under free.  Please visit Williams Grove Speedway at the web site www.williamsgrove.com or at their Facebook page.
