Williams Grove Hosts First Yellow
Breeches 500 Series Sprint Race Friday,
358 sprints to debut April 1as

Mechanicsburg –
Williams Grove Speedway will host the first race in the 2016 Yellow Breeches 500
series for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints coming up this Friday night, April
1 at 8 pm.
Also
on the racing program will be the first race of the season for the HJ Towing &
Recovery 358 sprint cars.
Full programs of heat
races and features going 25 laps in distance for the 410 sprints and 20 laps for
the 358 sprints are slated.
Adult
general admission for the show is $14 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for $10.
Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for free at Williams Grove.
The Williams Grove portion of the 50/50 ticket sales this week
will be donated to the Autism Society of Harrisburg.
The society will be promoting their
upcoming Logan’s Run slated for April 16 on Harrisburg city island.
The Yellow Breeches 500 series is
comprised of a group of sprint car races paying a hefty $500 to start in what
will be 25-lap main events lined up using the normal handicapping procedure.
There will be no time trials.
Several more of the 500 series races are
slated throughout the season.
Williams Grove Speedway returns on April 8 with the 410
sprints and the first race of the season for the super sportsman at the oval.
A blood drive benefiting the Central Pa blook bank will be
held during the racing program.
Another Yellow Breeches 500 event will
take place on April 15 along with action for the PASS IMCA 305 sprint cars.
Williams Grove will present the Tommy
Hinnershitz Memorial for 410 sprints along with street stock racing on April 22.
The Tommy Hinnershitz Memorial will be
the first race in the 2016 Hoosier Diamond Series.
