Summer Series returns to Williams Grove Friday
410 sprints and 358 sprints make
up August 5 open wheel racing card

Williams Grove Speedway will host the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars along
with another race in the Nouse Signs and Graphics 358 Sprint Car Summer Series
coming up this Friday night, August 5 at 8 pm.
The 358 sprints will compete in
the third leg of the area series and the second at Williams Grove itself.
Brie Hershey kicked off the Summer Series at Williams Grove on June 17 before
Doug Hammaker won the second race in the series elsewhere.
This week the series swings back to Williams Grove with Doug Hammaker currently
leading the series point standings by nine markers over Kevin Nouse.
Adult general admission is
just $14 for the racing program with youth ages 13 – 20 priced at $10.
Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for free at Williams Grove Speedway!
The Williams Grove portion of
the weekly 50/50 drawing will be donated this week to
Jill's Legacy, a Lung Cancer foundation named after former California-Berkeley
Rower Jill Costello who passed away at age 22.
In the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint car point standings at Williams Grove
Speedway, defending track champion Greg Hodnett has taken possession of the
title chase.
Hodnett, with only one division
win at the track this season, owns the standings with 3,460 points.
Danny Dietrich currently ranks second in the points with 3,270 points followed
by Brian Montieth at 2,980 points.
The Williams Grove 410 sprints
and the URC Sprint circuit will be in action at Williams Grove coming up on
Friday, August 12.
And just one week later on August 19, the stage will be set
for the one and only appearance of the season at the track by the All Star
Circuit of Champions Sprints as they race in the Jack Gunn Memorial.
