Williams Grove Closes Season Friday With Two Sprint Mains Plus Big 305 Sprint Show

  Make-up Al Hamilton Tribute Dirt Classic Qualifier Part Of Exciting Program

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will present its final race of the season coming up this Friday night, October 5 at 7:30 pm featuring two main events for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints plus a big show for the Keystone RaceSaver IMCA 305 sprint cars.

 

The 410 sprints will compete in a full program of qualifying heat races and a 25-lap main event plus the make-up Al Hamilton Tribute Dirt Classic Qualifier will be staged after being postponed by rain on September 14.

 

The make-up race from September 14 will be the final point race on the 2018 schedule and will serve to crown the 2018 Lawrence Chevrolet track champion. 

 

There will be no points awarded for the regularly scheduled 410 sprint car main event. 

 

All drivers and cars are locked into the make-up feature with the postponed Hamilton Tribute paying $5,077 to win. 

 

The 305 sprints will compete in an interregional event for the Keystone RaceSaver class, bringing together several regions of the series.

 

To date, over 40 cars have pre-registered for the 305 sprint car portion of the Friday program at Williams Grove.

 

The total Friday 305 sprint purse is set at $7,000 with the winner of the feature taking home $500. 

 

Adult general admission for the season finale Friday program at Williams Grove is set at $16 while youth ages 13 – 20 will be admitted for $10.

 

Ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.
