Williams Grove Set For Outlaws Invasion May 17 & 18

Mechanicsburg â€“ Williams Grove Speedway will host the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars on two nights, coming up this Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18 at 7:30 pm, presented by H & N Landscaping.

Friday’s racing will feature the World of Outlaws Sprint Car stars in a full program including a 25-lap main paying $8,000 to win.

Saturday’s program that includes the Morgan Cup will include a 30-lap main that pays $12,000 to win to go along with another $5,000 for Morgan Cup bragging rights

Fireworks will be part of both shows.

Adult general admission each night is $30 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for $15. Gates will open for both shows at 5:30 pm.

Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.

The Morgan Cup will be taken possession of at the conclusion of Saturday’s main event, going to the defacto home of whichever group of drivers can lay claim to the event victor, whether it be an outlaw driver or a member of the Pennsylvania Posse.

The cup and laurels are bestowed each season in honor of late, former speedway owner Mr. Morgan Hughes.

Coming into the May outlaws/posse match up at Williams Grove, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz leads outlaws points over Californian Brad Sweet.

At Williams Grove Speedway, Lucas Wolfe of Mechanicsburg tops the point chart.

Winners with the outlaws this year despite numerous rain outs have been Sweet, Schatz, Daryn Pittman, David Gravel, Carson Macedo, Logan Schuchart, Ian Madsen, Aaron Reutzel and Tim Shaffer.

With just three programs having been completed at Williams Grove to date this year, winners have been Lucas Wolfe, Dietrich and Lance Dewease who just won a tune up for the outlaws shows on May 10.

Both May dates for the outlaws fell victim to rain in 2018.
