June 21 & 28 Offer Special Attractions For Williams Grove Speedway Fans

Rare glimpse into pits offered to general fans, Over 2,000 giveaways & Brad Doty to appear

Mechanicsburg – June 21 and 28 will be special nights at Williams Grove Speedway as the oval offers special pre-race activities to general admission fans as part of its 80th anniversary season celebration.

Middleswarth Potato Chips and Hoseheads.com will present a rare chance for general admission fans to enter the frontstretch pit area on June 21.

For one hour, from 6-7 pm, all general admission fans will be granted access to the pit area to meet and greet drivers before the racing program begins.

This opportunity will not only give fans a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite cars and drivers, but it will also afford fans who normally never get a chance to visit the pit area a rare glimpse into the behind the scenes action that takes place weekly within the pit area at Williams Grove Speedway.

To go along with this special event for fans, Middleswarth Potato Chips will give away 1,500 complimentary bags of chips during pre-race activity and Hoseheads.com will give away nearly 200 packs of free bubble gum to kids.

In addition, some 800 more special giveaways are slated at the gates, courtesy of Williams Grove Speedway as a way to commemorate 80 years of racing operation at the historic facility.

And then coming up on Friday, June 28, Apple Creek Ohio’s Brad Doty will be making a special appearance at the track as the oval kicks off the annual Pennsylvania Speedweek Series for 410 sprint cars.

The noted and accomplished former sprint car driver, author and current broadcast personality will greet fans and sign autographs prior to racing action that begins at 7:30 pm.

Doty’s familiar Bower’s Coal No. 28D sprint car will be on display for the special event while Doty himself will have special merchandise on sale.

The likable Buckeye State driver scored three sprint car wins during his career at Williams Grove before suffering career ending injuries in a 1988 sprint car crash.

Along with Doty, TJ Stutts will also sign autographs during pre-race action on June 28.
