URC Sprints Head To Williams Grove For Lone 2022 Show Friday

Field taking shape with some crossovers expected

Mechanicsburg – Celebrating their 75th anniversary season in 2022, the URC 360 Sprint Series will make their one and only appearance of the season this Friday night, April 29 at Williams Grove Speedway.

The club will race in a 25-lap, $1,500 to win main event along with the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints as they race in a $5,500 to win feature going 25 laps as well.

The Williams Grove 358 sprints will be eligible to compete in the URC program as the race is a 358/360 sprint challenge event.

For the 358 sprints, the race will be a non-point event.

1040 form 2022 Defending series champion Jason Shultz of Carlisle will be leading the band into the show along with Ryan Stillwaggon, Davie Franek, Andy Best, Adam Carberry, Josh Weller and others.

Shultz kicked off the URC season with a win at Port Royal Speedway a few weeks ago.

It is expected that a least a few of the Williams Grove 410 sprint drivers will compete with URC on Friday night.

Devon Borden has confirmed his intent to do double duty while Steve Buckwalter is also considered a possibility to pull a double.

Williams Grove 358 sprint car champion Derek Locke of Carlisle will be competing with a 360 under the hood for the show.

A regular in the 410 ranks, Pat Cannon of Etters has also confirmed his plans to compete with URC.

Among newcomers for the Williams Grove show will be URC competitor Jake Karklin, a native of Waxhaw, North Carolina.

Briggs Danner, who recently won his first ever Williams Grove main in a USAC East event, is a possible URC entrant as well.
