Wlliams Grove 358 Sprint Match Race Just One Month Away

Deadline to donate for matching funds is July 22!

Mechanicsburg – A new and exciting event for the HJ Towing and Recovery 358 sprints is just over a month away at Williams Grove Speedway.

The 358 Sprint Match Race is coming up at the track as part of Billy Kimmel Memorial night on Friday, August 5.

The Match Race is a special event for the limited sprint cars that posts not only a standard Williams Grove 358 sprint purse but it also offers the opportunity for the 358 field to race for thousands and thousands more in purse money.

The increase beyond the standard purse would be thanks to potential donations and “Match Funds" put into the pot by any sponsors, fans AND the track.

Williams Grove Speedway will match up to $5,000 in additional purse money as donated to the field by all who care to pitch in.

And a big announcement regarding the Match Race is expected within days.

Donations of any size and amount are welcome!

No donation to the 358 sprint drivers will be considered too small!

Fans, businesses, competitors, product manufacturers and even drivers are all invited to donate to the purse and Williams Grove Speedway will match the first 5K in total combined funds that are posted, divvying up the amount and any surplus evenly to all 24 cars in the feature field.

Any total amount over and above the combined total of $10,000 that is donated to the field will not be matched but will still be distributed evenly throughout the entire field.

All donations must be received in the Williams Grove Speedway business office by the end of the day on July 22, 2022.

The 358 sprint car season is shaping up to be quite competitive at Williams Grove Speedway as three races so far have produced three different winners in the form of Derek Locke, Frankie Herr and most recently Tyler Brehm.

And in fact all three men are within 30 points of one another at the top of the 358 sprint point standings.

Donations for the Match Race will be accepted via credit card, money order or personal check.
