Williams Grove World Of Outlaws Champion Racing Oil Summer Nationals Set For July 22 & 23

Mechanicsburg – The Champion Racing Oil World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Series Summer Nationals is just two weeks away at Williams Grove Speedway, slated for Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23 at 7:30 pm.

The outlaws sprint cars will invade Williams Grove Speedway for the two-day summer stand to battle the Pennsylvania Posse sprint car stars for what will be the second match-up of the 2022 season.

The modern-day, consecutive-year history of the Summer Nationals dates back to 2002 when the show was a three-day event with Danny Lasoski, Joey Saldana and Greg Hodnett taking wins.

However events dubbed “Summer Nationals” were first contested at the oval back in 1972 with Jan Opperman and Bobbie Adamson recorded as the victors.

Both nights of this year’s Summer Nationals shows will include full programs of time trials, heats and feature events.

The July 22 outlaws-posse match will feature a 25-lap main paying $10,000 to win and $1,000 to start while the July 23 Saturday finale Champion Racing Oil Summer Nationals feature will offer $20,000 to the winner while paying $1,100 to start.

Last year, Sheldon Haudenschild and Brent Marks split Summer Nationals winning laurels with Marks scoring the big 20K in the Saturday finale.

California’s Brad Sweet is the current outlaws point leader over Ohio’s Haudenschild.

Sweet has just one win on the season to date while Haudenschild has posted eight.

Haudenschild’s win at the track last July was the first of his career there while Sweet is still in search of a career first win at Williams Grove.
