No Racing Aug. 12, Williams Grove Returns To Action Aug. 19

WoO Late Models and Kimmel Memorial next on the schedule

Mechanicsburg – There will be no racing at Williams Grove Speedway on August 12 but the track will return to action on Friday August 19 with a big program featuring the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 Sprint Cars and the World of Outlaws Super Late Models Series.

The entire night of racing is presented by Messick’s Farm Equipment.

The World of Outlaws Late Models will be in action for just the fifth time in Williams Grove history.

The circuit will compete in a 40-lap, $10,000 to win main event.

Also on the agenda is the make-up Billy Kimmel Memorial for the 410 sprint cars.

The Kimmel Memorial will pay $6,000 to win and regular Williams Grove handicapping will be used to set the heat starting grids.

Event sponsor Messick’s Farm Equipment has five locations in the mid-state with facilities in Mount Joy, Halifax, Abbottstown, Carlisle and Aspers.

Find Messick’s on the web at www.messicks.com.

Lost to weather on August 5, the Match Race for 358 sprints will be made up on September 2.

The All Stars Circuit of Champions Sprints will invade Williams Grove Speedway on August 26 to compete in the Union Quarries Jack Gunn Memorial Twin 20s.
