March 17 WoO Williams Grove Season Opener Cancelled

Mechanicsburg – Daytime rains and a forecast for more rain during the evening have forced Williams Grove Speedway and World of Outlaws officials to cancel the March 17 Opening Day racing program.

The event would have been the first time in history that the Williams Grove season opener was sanctioned by the outlaws.

Advanced reserved ticket holders that purchased tickets through the World of Outlaws will receive a face-value credit to their MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years. If a credit to that account is not a viable option, all ticket holders have until April 17 to request a refund.

For advanced ticket holders that purchased tickets through Williams Grove Speedway, the full raincheck policy for ticket holders is available at www.williamsgrove.com.

The World of Outlaws circuit will return to Williams Grove Speedway for a two-day stand on May 12 and 13.

The 2023 season opener at Williams Grove is now scheduled for next Friday, March 24 at 7:30 pm.

The Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars will do battle for a $5,500 top prize.

The season opener will also feature the ULMS super late models in a $3,000, 30-lap main event.

The appearance by the super late models will be the only show of the season at the track by the unlimited super stock cars.
